Key Responsibilities
Working closely with the Director of Food & Beverage to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Monitoring performance and assisting with monthly reporting on key metrics and KPIs.
Maintaining strong communication across all hotel departments to ensure operational alignment.
Leading briefings and departmental meetings to promote teamwork and transparency.
Regularly liaising with the Kitchen Team, particularly during service periods.
Handling guest feedback and complaints professionally, ensuring all issues are handled in a polite and professional manner
Assisting with roster planning, wage management, and cost control initiatives.
Developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and service guidelines.
Delivering on-the-job training to team members and ensuring high performance standards are met.
Continuously improving service quality and operational efficiency.
Recruiting, mentoring, and developing high-performing team members.
Ensuring the accurate use of the Point of Sale system and quality checking of orders.
Providing warm, efficient, and professional service to all guests.
Leading by example with a hands-on, guest-first approach.
Driving upselling and promotional opportunities to boost revenue.
Upholding workplace health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Please note: You should have a minimum up to 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.
About You
A minimum of 2 years experience leading a team in a high-end, high-volume bar or restaurant setting
A passion for food and beverage, with a desire to work in a five-star hotel environment
Excellent personal presentation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail
Stock maintenance experience
Sound knowledge of food, cocktail, wines and spirits. Expertise in mixology is desirable.
Ability to effectively train and develop a team
Experience in developing and executing small bar promotions
A current RSA Certificate
Must hold a current RMLV (Responsible Management of Licensed Venues) certificate and be a liquor approved manager
