JOB DESCRIPTION

Australian Venue Co is looking for a dynamic and hands-on Tournant Head Chef to join our team to support and assist our renowned Adelaide-based venues. You will be reporting directly to the Exec Chef and working alongside the current Head Chefs and Sous Chefs to assist them in the kitchen's day-to-day operations.

We're looking for a highly skilled Kitchen Manager who doesn't want to be tied down to one location. Wherever you go, take advantage of the opportunity to see new places, meet new people, and share your knowledge and experiences with others. This is a great stepping stone for an experienced head chef to further their career progression and prospects as an Area Chef.

AVC operates some of the most popular venues in Adelaide including Brighton Metro Hotel, The Unley, Parkside Hotel and many more!

REQUIREMENTS

What will you bring to the table?

  • Proven expertise as Head Chef
  • Proficiency in menu costing and ability to control and minimize wastage
  • Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
  • Strong understanding of rostering and costing
  • Implement and manage stock control, ordering, and checking of deliveries
  • Good knowledge of helpful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop, support, and mentor the team
  • Ability to produce high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong compliance focus
  • A commitment to achieving outstanding sales results
  • Ability to engage with the local community
