JOB DESCRIPTION

KAIJU! Beer is seeking Melbourne’s best brewpub manager to put their stamp on KAIJU! Cantina, the beating heart of our brand, in Melbourne’s South-East.

Are you a people person with a love for all things hospitality? Do you enjoy craft beer and have a passion for leading a team? Then we have the perfect opportunity for you at KAIJU! Cantina as Venue Manager! 

As the Venue Manager, you will be responsible for leading and motivating our front of house team as well as maintaining exemplary standards of customer service and satisfaction. You should have excellent communication and customer service skills, and be able to handle the chaos of a busy restaurant and bar with a smile on your face.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing a front of house team while maintaining strong communication with the head chef on kitchen requirements
  • Maintaining high standards of customer service and satisfaction
  • Managing budgets and financial performance of the venue
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations
  • Maintaining front of house inventory and ordering supplies as needed
  • Scheduling and managing staff shifts
  • Participating in menu planning and special event coordination

REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in hospitality management
  • A passion for the food and beverage industry
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • A friendly and professional demeanour
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Strong beer knowledge and appreciation of local wine and spirits would be an advantage
  • A little bit nerdy with a love for board games, 8bit, SEGA master systems, Anime or graphic novels
