JOB DESCRIPTION

Mina Italian is currently seeking an experienced Venue Manager to come lead the team into the busy holiday season. In these roles you will be managing the restaurant and the restaurant team, with motivation and a commitment to deliver outstanding service. To lead the restaurant team from the front to create a fun, authentic and an original dining experience that will support the core values of the food and beverage department.

  • Createan a customer and guest experience thats memorable and promotes guests wanting to return.
  • Ensure that floor team are aware of duties required.
  • To ensure opening, preparation, service and closing standards of the restaurant are adhered to company brand standards and policy.          
  • To monitor all Opening and Closing Procedures and follow up and training where required.
  • Give your team honest and open performance feedback and support them to do better.
  • Monitor , coach and support your team with passion and fun.
  • Assist Head Waiters manage, develop and mentor key team members.
  • Identify and explores weakest members of staff in the team and supports them.
  • Ensure that correct staffing levels are established to provide consistent outstanding levels of guest service.
  • Encourage individuality, innovation and initiative in your team members.
  • Ensure you constantly communicate with your team during service to ensure the best service experience.
  • To attend all briefings and departmental meetings as required and to contribute and cascade information to team.
  • To maintain a high degree of interest in self-development, displaying this by making suggestions for realistic improvements.
    Ensure continuous corrective training takes place within your department.
  • Ensure training programs are in place with designated trainers.
  • Ensure regular staff feedback meetings are held such as weekly/fortnightly quality circle and one on ones.
  • To hold regular On-the-Job training sessions to ensure that staff can perform their duties correctly.
  • Ensure structured induction procedures are in place and followed.
  • Ensure succession planning is in place.
  • Ensure appropriate food and beverage tasting & training is taking place on a regular basis, so that staffs are confident with their product knowledge and are able to describe and recommend to guests properly.
  • Try to anticipate potential problems and follow company guidelines to avoid them.  Inevitably, guest’s complaints will arise, therefore, when they do please follow company complaint procedure.
  • To maintain high standards of morale and personal appearance of all staff.
  • To ensure fair and equitable discipline, yet complying with house or company regulations.
  • Complete all administrative duties completely and as written within the time frame given.
  • Report for duty punctually wearing appropriate attire.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times, always remembering that you lead by example.
  • Establish and maintain a good rapport and working relationship with all the staff in and all other departments as well as suppliers.
  • Provide a courteous, professional, attentive and efficient service at all times with all departments and customers.
  • Attend and contribute to all staff briefings and other related activities.
  • Carry out any other responsibilities or duties as assigned.
  • Support new recruits through on the job training.
