JOB DESCRIPTION

As Venue Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of The Wine Bar. You’ll lead a passionate team and ensure service standards, guest experience, and profitability are consistently outstanding. Reporting to the General Manager, you'll oversee everything from quality control to financial performance, recruitment, and staff development.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure high standards of guest service, product quality, and venue presentation
  • Lead, train, and inspire the FOH team, including AMs and Supervisors
  • Drive sales performance through strategic upselling and customer engagement
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, appraisals, and performance management
  • Manage costs and profitability – including wages, stock, and operational overheads
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment that reflects The Wine Bar’s premium identity

REQUIREMENTS

ABOUT YOU

  • Proven experience managing a premium hospitality venue or bar
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Commercial acumen with a strong focus on revenue growth and cost control
  • A guest-first mindset with a passion for great wine and food
  • Organised, adaptable, and solutions-focused
  • RSA certification (required), with additional qualifications viewed favourably
