We’re looking for a responsible shift manager to oversee events in our beautiful venues Lightspace and Loyal Hope. We host predominantly private events such as weddings or cocktail parties.  A typical shift will run from 5pm or 6pm to midnight on Friday and Saturday nights, though there may also be some mid-week and Sunday work available if desired.   As it’s usually only two shifts per week the role really suits someone studying or with another job.

Tasks includes…

– creating the right ambience to suit the event

– ensuring the venue is ready to roll for kick-off 

– liaising with the client to ensure they have the best possible experience 

– ensuring patron safety during the event 

– organising catering and security staff 

– checking the venue is spotless during the event

– serving over the bar and running the POS system

– supervising patron’s safe exit from the venue and clean-up 

Previous hospitality experience in a similar environment is essential, as is an eye for detail, responsible attitude and a passion for producing unique events.  

We offer a casual base rate of $50-$60 per hour plus loading along with a fantastic venue to work in. There is also some flexibility in weekend shifts.
