JOB DESCRIPTION

Mario’s Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria are looking for Wait Staff to join the team.

You must be dynamic, passionate about cocktails and all things bar related!

You will demonstrate creativity and confidence, and be passionate about ensuring our guests receive memorable table service to match our high quality of food and drinks.

Requirements:

  • Experienced in table service
  • Great communication skills with a strong work ethic
  • Willing to learn and grow within the team
  • Well presented and professional 
  • You say hello to every customer that walks through the door!

About You:

You must have a genuine passion for the industry and be committed to work and learn and be apart of a professional, fun atmosphere, you'll need to have a friendly, bubbly and outgoing personality. 

You will always give above and beyond expectation, working to give guests a memorable experience.

We are looking for people to deliver our high level of customer service and have a kind nature, this will also give you great tips from our loyal customers.

The roles are casual, with the prospect of full-time hours if you’re a great fit in the team. Nights aren’t too late, and no early mornings.

The famous Mario’s Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria was first established in 1989. Referred to as “Mario’s”, our restaurant is an icon of Broadbeach. We specialise in authentic and modern Italian Cuisine and we are open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner.

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

  • 1 year experience in a similar role
  • Experience running a section with position numbers
  • A good attitude and eagerness to engage with guests, offering suggestions and wines to match our menu
  • Wine and cocktail knowledge is a big advantage but we’re happy to teach the right person
  • Positive communication skills, energy and attitude towards guests and your team
  • Experience working in a high volume, fast-paced venue
  • Be flexible and reliable
