JOB DESCRIPTION

ABOUT BOMBA: 

We are a busy Spanish tapas restaurant & rooftop bar in the bustling theatre district of the Melbourne CBD. 

The restaurant on street level boasts seating for 72 and caters to all groups and occasions, offering a fast and busy Worker’s Lunch during the day and morphing into a subtly dining space in the evenings. Bomba’s food is a broader collection of Spain’s diverse culinary depth, focusing on modern tapas.

The rooftop is one of the city’s best and is a consistent favourite, no matter the season. With a million-dollar renovation in mid 2018 that revamped and revitalised the space, the rooftop is not only an outstanding and breathtaking bar and space but can be transformed into a unique event space with a backdrop that speaks for itself. 

 

ABOUT THE ROLE: 

Full time position about 35-40 hours per week (part-time/casual positions also available) 

We are looking for some passionate, hard working and friendly individuals to add to our restaurant team. At Bomba we pride ourselves on giving excellent customer service, whilst always paying attention to the small details. With us being in the heart of the busy theatre/chinatown district, we operate under a fast-paced environment and thrive off our busy lunch & dinner services. If you are a hospitality professional, looking to move up in the industry or even just starting out your career, we are waiting to hear from you!

REQUIREMENTS

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Previous experience in a similar role - holding sections, bar work, management etc
  • Wine/cocktail knowledge (This can also be taught to the right candidate) 
  • Great time management - turning up to work promptly & nailing out-by times on tables! 
  • Attention to the small details and exceeding guest expectations
  • A passion for food and drink - Tell us your favourite places to go dining! 
  • Delivering excellent customer service
