Olivine

An iconic wine bar. As you move through the space past heavy timber doors and tall bluestone walls you are gradually walking away from the outside world to a place lost in time. 

Meet your host who to guide you through this unconventional space, until you find yourself drowned in a luxurious dimly lit booths. Distant sounds of Champagne popping and hushed laughter ignite epicurean chatter. Your evening has just begun. 

 

The Opportunity

This is a pre-opening role in a venue sure to become one of the country’s most exciting wine bar openings, presenting a fantastic opportunity to the ideal candidate to work in a unique project alongside top sommeliers. As well as some serving some incredible wine you’ll also oversee a carefully curated cocktails list with a focus on local spirits and ingredients. We are currently seeking a dynamic bar manager to support the Venue Manager in leading the bar operation. 

With proven technical skills and the ability to lead a team, this role will be responsible for managing and executing day-to-day operations. You will deliver a consistently high standard of service and experience that will capture the minds and hearts of our guests.

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 6 months previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

The Ideal Candidate Must Have: 

  • Demonstrated experience as a Bar Manager in a vibrant, high-volume venue
  • Strong knowledge in cocktails, beer, and spirits 
  • Experience with ordering, stocktake & COGS 
  • Exceptional service skills and guest focused
  • Adaptable and able to perform in high-pressured service periods
  • Proven ability in building effective relationships with locals and suppliers
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • Exceptional communication and presentation
  • Available and willing to work weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts
  • Must possess a valid Victorian RSA certificate
