Bombay Sapphire has partnered with Australia’s oldest and most visited gallery

Nov 29, 2018

Bombay Sapphire has partnered with Australia’s oldest and most visited gallery

Bombay Sapphire has partnered with Australia’s oldest and most visited gallery, the National Gallery of Victoria, to bring its innovative and sensory Bombay Sapphire Gin Garden to both the anticipated NGV Gala on Saturday 1 December 2018 and NGV Friday Nights, taking place throughout summer. The partnership will launch at the NGV Gala, an annual black-tie event celebrating art, music, fine food and cocktails and featuring the opening of the world-premiere exhibition Escher X nendo I Between Two Worlds.

Transforming the iconic NGV Garden Restaurant into an innovative, sensory and immersive space, the Bombay Sapphire Gin Garden will draw on the visual themes in the works of both nendo and M. C. Escher and those intrinsic to Bombay Sapphire; the reflection and refraction of light will become the central theme for the space.

Signature Bombay Sapphire Twist cocktails with refreshing combinations of summer fruits, including raspberries, lemons, oranges, and fresh herbs from the NGV Garden, will be served throughout the night in the Gin Garden.

“Each fresh ingredient we use in the Bombay Sapphire Twist cocktails are selected to accentuate the subtle flavours of the botanicals in our gin, creating a beautiful fresh tasting drink.”

“Our Orange and Peppercorn Twist, brings to life the cubeb berries, a key botanical in Bombay Sapphire, which in turn creates a juicy and spicy kick in your classic G&T,” says Bombay Sapphire Brand Ambassador and mixologist, Peter Hollands.

Internationally acclaimed Australian chef and restauranteur Andrew McConnell has created a bespoke prawn version of his iconic lobster roll exclusively for the Bombay Sapphire Gin Garden at the NGV Gala, providing guests with the perfect pairing for their gin cocktails on the first night of summer.

Melburnians will also have the chance to experience the Bombay Sapphire Gin Garden at NGV Friday Nights, launching on Friday 7 December and running until Friday 5 April. Set against the stunning backdrop of the NGV Garden, this open-air bar will offer guests a selection of refreshing Bombay

Sapphire cocktails, alongside DJs delivering a selection of summer tunes to kickstart the night and afterhours access to Escher X nendo I Between Two Worlds.

There will be no better spot in Melbourne to embrace the warm weather than the Bombay Sapphire Gin Garden at the NGV, providing a sensory and unique cultural experience complete with delicious gin cocktails. Tickets available at www.ngv.vic.gov.au/ngv-gala/ and https://www.ngv.vic.gov.au/program-
