Brisbane, get ready for an a-peck-alypse this weekend!

WingHAÜS by Bavarian is the wing-packed, sauce-smacked spinoff of Australia’s fun-loving The Bavarian family, located at 144 Edward Street, Brisbane.
There are eight variations of sauce-doused, American-inspired chicken wings available, along with other treats, including a trio of big-hitting burgers, hot chips, onion rings, salads, and New York cheesecake and deep-fried chocolate bars for dessert.
Forty taps of beer span Bavarian favourites Löwenbräu, Franziskaner, Hofbräu, Paulaner and Spaten, legendary brews by American brewery Goose Island, as well as those from 4 Pines Brewing and Pirate Life in Australia. A range of margaritas, sangria, negroni, Aperol spritz and espresso martini are also on tap.
A boisterous, sports-bar vibe is thanks to 20 televisions and a multi-sound WIFI system that can stream up to 30 stations and games simultaneously to individual listeners. WingHAÜS by Bavarian is the first Australian sports bar to use the Listen Everywhere technology, which enables guests to stream audio from any station available, via a free smartphone app.
So, if Aussie Rules is not their thing this weekend, diners can still rock up to WingHAÜS with their crew, tune in to a more tailored sports viewing experience, and score buckets of sensational 10-cent wings.
From Monday, 30 September, 50-cent wings will be on offer during Wing Hour every weekday from 5pm to 7pm.
Rockpool Dining Group Chief Executive Officer Thomas Pash said everyone would be a winner at the launch of Australia’s inaugural WingHAÜS by Bavarian.
“The Brisbane Lions may be out of the finals, but all diners will score a terrific result this Saturday with our seasoned Wing Masters’ spice-infused menu, 10-cent wings, and the option to tune into many different sporting games with this leading-edge technology.”
WingHAÜS by Bavarian is reminiscent of an American diner and accommodates 240 guests, including around 135 outdoors, with mix of high table tops, communal tables, bar stools and leather booths throughout the open-plan space. Walls are decorated with bright neons, nostalgic signage, hints of Bavarian heritage, and vintage sports memorabilia.
Inspired by the chicken wing’s cult status in the US, and The Bavarian’s own famous buffalo wings, WingHAÜS by Bavarian offers a range of buffalo wings, fried wings (dipped in chipotle or habanero powder) and boneless chicken tenders. All come in servings of 10, 20, 50, or 100 pieces and with eight accompanying hot sauces: teriyaki, traditional, Texas BBQ, Korean, chipotle, habanero, afterburner, and the hottest sauce of all – face melting. Sauces are rated by up to four flame symbols, which denote the spiciness of each. Diners can cool down with The Firefighter – an ice-cold, chocolate Magnum.
Addictively good enough to create their own cult following, all wings have a choice of six accompanying dips: blue cheese, ranch dressing, haüs sauce, chipotle mayo, garlic and honey and mustard. Burgers include the ClassicHaüs, featuring secret-spiced chicken breast with garlic sauce and pickles; ChookHaüs, showcasing secret-spiced chicken breast with habanero hot sauce, cheese, coleslaw, pickles and Texas BBQ sauce; and the MooHaüs Angus beef burger with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles and secret sauce.
A long bar with high-stool seating for 14 guests runs the length of the diner, featuring sister establishment The Bavarian’s signature stein chandelier, which holds over 200 authentic glass steins, and a custom-built, 40-beer tap wall. Foosball tables bring more fun to the finger-lickin’ feast.
