Where to spend St Paddy's Day this year

Whether you're an Irish ex-pat wanting to celebrate or you just love a good ol' Gaelic knees-up and want to join in the fun, St Paddy's Day is a chance to celebrate the rich heritage of the Emerald Isle. This year March 17 falls on a Wednesday and since the time-honoured way to toast ol' St Pat is with a well-poured Guinness, you can expect great craic and pints aplenty in Australia’s favourite pubs. Here's where to cheer "Sláinte!" on the big day!

Sydney:
$8 pints and live folk music at Forrester’s
Forrester’s is turning the pub into an “Irish oasis” for the day this St Paddys Day. Doors will be open from 11.30am to get the celebrations started. With Irish food and drink specials, plus live folk music from 7pm, there is no better place to be in Surry Hills on the 17th!

From morning to night party with PJ O’Brien’s live Irish music
Doors open at 8am with a big Irish breakfast on offer, and of course including a pint of Guinness, priced at $27.50 per person. Carrying on through the day with lunch and drinks till late. Bookings are essential! 

Celebrate the Irish everyday and enjoy live Irish music every Thursday at Norton’s pub!
Swing by Norton’s every Thursday night for a pint, a bite and a spot of traditional Irish music from 7.30 – 9.30pm.

Raise a glass for St Paddys Day at PJ O’Briens

Turf Sports Bar 
Doors open from 11.30am to late. Always a fun day to be had, with Irish food & drink specials and of course, plenty of Guinness flowing! Don’t miss the live Irish music from 4.30pm with ‘The Galway Rovers’ performing.
