GOLDEN CHEFS TOP TALENT GEARING UP FOR GRAND FINALS

The Nestlé GOLDEN CHEF'S HAT AWARD is gearing up for the 2022 Grand Finals, having sourced the top 12 line-up of young chef talent from across Australia and New Zealand.

The live action of the chef-to-chef grand finals will be starting today with the big reveals to follow on 7th September at an exclusive industry Awards Night event.

Each of the top 12 finalists will compete in custom-designed commercial kitchens, with Australian Culinary Federation and NZChefs expert judges onsite to assess professional practices, presentation and the all-important taste factor.

Newly appointed Commercial Development Chef and Nestlé Professional judge, Elke Travers says, “We’re thrilled to be back to in person chef-to-chef cook-offs this year and can’t wait to watch the action unfold. These 12 chefs, sourced from across Australia and New Zealand, will have a unique opportunity to showcase their skills and will no doubt elevate the 57-year legacy of Golden Chef’s Hat.”

The 2022 Golden Chef of the Year will be awarded an AUD$10,000 cash prize to further their culinary career.

In addition to the ultimate Golden Chef of the Year $10K cash prize, two new $2.5K culinary tuition cash prizes for Best Savoury Dish and Best Dessert Dish have been created.
