Mar 16, 2023

Where to grab a Guinness this St.Patricks Day

We know hunting down where to find that perfect pint of Guinness can be hard, so we've gone and done the leg work for you (pun intended).

Here's the top 10 places to go to if you're looking to celebrate with a true icon of St. Patricks day!

1. The Wild Rover

Where: Surry Hills

Verdict: Lively atmosphere & tasty cocktails inside and we've heard on the grape vine that the Guinness is as good as what you get in Ireland!

2. PJ O'Breins

Where: King Street CBD

Verdict: First rate Guinness and a perfect place to catch up with your mates!

3. Forresters

Where: Surry Hills

Verdict: A lively little corner pub with a great buzz serving up a lovely smooth and creamy Guinness! Lovely friendly staff too.

4. Sydney Park Hotel

Where: Newtown

Verdict: A pub that has a lovely little Irish charm to it thanks to its long narrow bar area with an old school Guinness tap! Great friendly staff and served up a great pint.

5. The Henson

Where: Marrickville

Verdict: The Henson in Marrickville is an beautiful old style, dog friendly pub (how could it get better I hear you ask). Everything you could want from a Guinness it delievered! Very creamy, no bitterness and just the right temperature!

6. The Rosebery Hotel

Where: Botany Road

Verdict: Great staff with great banter serving up an amazing pint! Maybe not the best looker when it comes to venues but the staff and the quality of the Guinness made up for it. If you're looking for a perfectly setteled, smoot & creamy Guinness then you'll want to get down to the Rosebery Hotel ASAP.

7. The Hero of Waterloo

Where: The Rocks, Sydney

Verdict: A beautfiful little pub tucked away in The Rocks that features an open fire and live bands! We know we're not quite basking in those winter temperatures yet, but this is one to save onto your to do list for when you're looking for a lovely little witner warmer!

8.The Sailsbury Hotel

Where: Stanmore

Verdict: Super easy access to this venue with it being right nextdoor to Stanmore Station. If you're looking to soak up some of that Autumn sun then you'll love the beer garden at the Sailsbury and what makes it even better? The 9/10 Guinness that you can get your hands on!

9. The Gaelic Club

Where: Surry Hills

Verdict: Literally the best location for a Friday night Guinness! An amazing hidden little gem! And if you're looking to really treat yourself then you should make sure you order one of their show stopping toasties to go with your perfectly poured pint. Enjoy the live music, food and Guinness in this little pub that feels like you could literally be in Ireland.

10. The Grand Hotel

Where: Bondi Junction

Verdict: If you're looking to do a Guinness tour around Sydney then The Grand Hotel should be on the list, less pub vibes and more of a chulled quiet sports bar. But still serving up a great pint of Guinness any day of the week.
