Hold onto your hats, because the Great Australian Beer Spectapular (GABS) festival is back and it's bigger and better than ever! Get ready to tantalise your taste buds with over 500 different brews, each one more delicious than the last. With over 120 new and unique craft beers released for the very first time over this festival, meet some of the best local brewers pushing the boundaries of a simple brew and celebrate all things beer. 

The festival is a beer lover's dream come true, with every type of beer you could possibly imagine, from hoppy IPAs to smooth stouts and everything in between. And don't worry if you're not a beer aficionado - there are plenty of cider and wine options available for those who prefer something a little sweeter.

But it's not just about the drinks at GABS - it's a full-blown party! With live music, food trucks, and games, you'll be entertained all day long. Here’s a couple of the events going on that you shouldn’t miss. 

Hottest 100 Aussie Craft Beers Competition
Since it started in 2008, the GABS Hottest 100 Craft Beer people’s choice poll has revealed the consumer trends and breweries shaping the Australian craft beer landscape.
Each year, craft beer loving consumers are asked to select, in order of preference, their five favourite craft beers of the year. Now considered one of the biggest polls of its type in the world, the campaign makes conversations about craft beer the topic of the day. It's like democracy, but way more fun.

Collaboration Beers
If you're feeling adventurous, be sure to check out the collaboration beers. These are special brews created by Australian and international breweries, each one more experimental and innovative than the last. Who knows, you might just discover your new favourite beer!
And let's not forget about the costumes. That's right, folks - GABS is one of the few festivals where dressing up is not only allowed, it's encouraged. So put on your best lederhosen or superhero cape and let's get this party started.
