Hey, there! Welcome to Barcats U18 👋🏽 We’re so glad you’re here and we can’t wait to help you kickstart your career in hospitality. This is such an exciting time to learn all there is to know about the best industry (not at all biased 😏). Not only that, we’re confident you will learn so much about yourself as you set yourself up for success with your first job and beyond. Let’s talk about where your Barcats U18 profile can take you and all the opportunities we have just waiting for you to tap into.
1. Jobs
Our Barcats U18 team is so passionate about getting you into your dream part-time job in hospitality. We are here to hold your hand through the entire process and we want to make it as smooth as possible for you!
The first step is to get your Barcats U18 profile completely filled out. That means including a catchy tagline that tells employers a little bit about you, include any responsibilities you have at school or out of school (sport, volunteering, clubs), if this isn’t your first job make sure you include any work experience you may have. You want to make a strong impression! Including a photo is the best way to stand out to employers. Just remember not to include your school photo to protect your privacy.
Employers can’t wait to hire you using Barcats U18 so it won’t be long at all before you get interest from hiring venues nearby inviting you to apply for their role. Make sure you respond by clicking ‘apply now’ and showing your interest back! 2. Training
We get it, applying for your very first job can be daunting when you’re competing with experienced candidates. That’s why we have no-cost 100% online training accessible to all of our Barcats U18 community! We have three courses in three key areas: Customer Service 101, Manual Handling, and Personal Hygiene and Grooming. By showing employers that you have an understanding of these areas you can stand out from the crowd and make up for your lack of experience (so far!).

3. Community
Your Barcats U18 profile is the key that unlocks a supportive, positive and exciting community of like-minded individuals who are here to help you unlock your potential.
