Fratelli Fresh jumps into jam-packed July program

Jun 28, 2019

Fratelli Fresh jumps into jam-packed July program

Fratelli Fresh is popping up at the Bondi farmers’ market each Sunday in July, from 9am to 4pm. The market menu features $10 items, including a breakfast pizza topped with bacon, egg, feta and rocket, an avocado smash focaccia, and two of Fratelli’s classic pizzas: margherita and diavola. Pizzas will be wood-fired in Fratelli’s mobile oven.

Fratelli Fresh will hero every foodie’s favourite carb, gnocchi, for five days only. Three special dishes are on offer for just $15 each, from Monday, 22 July to Friday, 26 July. Guests can choose from gnocchi with tomato and mozzarella, burnt butter and sage or Bolognese ragu.

On Monday, 29 July, each restaurant will also serve $10 lasagne dishes all day, in honour of National Lasagne Day. That’s over half-price for this Fratelli classic, which features pork and beef ragu, béchamel, tomato and parmesan.

Truffle season is in full swing and to celebrate Fratelli Fresh is hosting a series of exquisite dinners from Monday, 15 July to Thursday, 18 July. The four-course menu ($69pp) features truffled celeriac veloute, snapper ravioli with truffle butter and fish roe, braised beef cheek with truffle mash, roasted Dutch carrots, and  truffle-infused tiramisu.  The dinners will take place at four Fratelli restaurants:

Fratelli Fresh Bridge Street: Monday, 15 July, 7pm
Fratelli Fresh Westfield: Tuesday, 16 July, 7pm
Fratelli Fresh Crows Nest: Wednesday, 17 July, 7pm
Fratelli Fresh Alexandria: Thursday, 18 July, 7pm

Fratelli Fresh Alexandria has added new cooking classes ($39pp) to its July culinary calendar, every Tuesday from 7pm, and Saturday from 12pm. Classes include antipasti styling, ravioli making, a special dessert masterclass, pizza making and cooking with seafood. Guests can also learn how to perfect a Sunday roast on Sunday, 28 July from 12pm. Classes commence on Tuesday, 2 July and comprise of around 20 students. Participants will also enjoy the fruits of their labour afterwards, and a glass of wine. The full schedule can be found here.

Fratelli Fresh Alexandria and Crows nest are offering all-you-can-eat mussels ($25pp) every Wednesday throughout July. Guests can indulge in unlimited Sicilian-style mussels in tomato sauce, with endless slices of toasted Sonoma sourdough to soak up the delicious sauce. Diners can also purchase a carafe of any Fratelli Fresh wine for $20.

Fratelli Fresh Darling Harbour is celebrating World Chocolate Day on Saturday, 7 July with a chocolate-inspired, three-course lunch ($49pp). The menu includes cured ocean trout with beetroot, white chocolate and horseradish, duck ragu pappardelle topped with chilli, orange and dark chocolate, and toasted-almond cannoli filled with chocolate ganache. Guests can also indulge in chocolate espresso martinis and negronis ($10 each). Bookings can be made here.

The Darling Harbour restaurant is also teaming up with the cocktail connoisseurs at Aperol to bring guests a Venetian-style long lunch ($100pp) from 12.30pm on Saturday, 20 July, in celebration of the drink’s 100th birthday.
