Time Is Running Out!

Sep 20, 2019

Time Is Running Out!

There are only two weeks left to enter the CRAIGELLACHIE 51 lottery to be in with a chance to sip a dram of this precious whisky at their Bar 51 pop-up.

While most super-aged whiskies of CRAIGELLACHIE’s calibre would command a hefty price, CRAIGELLACHIE wants to give whisky enthusiasts the chance to enjoy their aged tipple for free. Yes, that’s right, CRAIGELLACHIE believes their priceless whisky is too good not to share, so after resting in oak for 51 years, they are giving 80 lucky whisky aficionados the opportunity to attend Bar 51 for this once in a lifetime chance to taste CRAIGELLACHIE 51 – but get in quick, as time is running out to enter the lottery, which closes at midnight on Friday 11 October.

CRAIGELLACHIE, who are known as ‘The Bad Boy of Speyside’, which is where their distillery is located, for rebelling against modern day whisky norms, are going where no other whisky has before with a unique pop up, Bar 51. A bar within a bar, running from 23 – 25 October at The Duke of Clarence, an 18th -century inspired London Tavern in Sydney, competition winners will be treated to a private tasting of CRAIGELLACHIE’s award-winning 13, 17 and 23 year old age statements before being guided to the CRAIGELLACHIE 51 exclusive tasting led by Global Brand Ambassador, Georgie Bell. The whisky experience will conclude with a cocktail made with CRAIGELLACHIE’s 13-year-old expression.

Of the CRAIGELLACHIE Bar 51 pop up, which has also appeared in London and New York, CRAIGELLACHIE Global Ambassador Georgie Bell says, “We wanted to do the unthinkable. We wanted to make a typically collectable Scotch whisky more accessible. We want to give as many people as we can the chance to try this incredible whisky, because how often does a whisky of this age and calibre actually get tasted?”

The competition for Bar 51 closes on Friday 11th October (Midnight AEST). To be in with a chance to be one of the lucky 80 winners to attend Bar 51 for a tasting of CRAIGELLACHIE 51, enter the lottery at www.craigellachie.com.

CRAIGELLACHIE Malt Master, Stephanie Macleod says of CRAIGELLACHIE 51, “51 years encased in oak is an extraordinary length of time. Starting life in 1962 as an aggressive beast, the whisky over five decades has developed a softer side yet still retains the distinct umami, muscular note that CRAIGELLACHIE is known for.” CRAIGELLACHIE whiskies are well known for their high quality, with the core portfolio of 13, 17, 23- and 33-year olds all having won prestigious awards. CRAIGELLACHIE 13, 17 and 23 whiskies are available at Dan Murphy’s.
