Nelly Robinson is heading south. The chef behind NEL, one of Sydney's most talked-about degustation restaurants, has taken over The Pines Cronulla for an exclusive 6-week pop-up — and there are three very different ways to experience it.
If you know Nelly's work, you know what to expect: bold flavours, playful presentation and a knack for turning a meal into a story. If you don't, this is a seriously good excuse to find out.
The Degustation — $135pp
This is the full NEL experience, transplanted to the coast. A 10-course degustation featuring dishes like Native Prawn Kebab with Curry, Kingfish Tandoori with Smoked Yoghurt and Cucumber, and a Salted Caramel Chocolate to finish. It's refined but relaxed, with ocean-side produce woven through Nelly's imaginative storytelling style. BYO is available too, at $10pp corkage.

The Pines Terrace — A La Carte
A more casual affair on the outdoor terrace, with coastal views and full weather protection. Think fresh Sydney Rock Oysters, Lobster Rolls, Salt and Pepper Cuttlefish, Fried Chicken and their Famous Double Cheese Burger — all designed by Nelly and his team. Pair it with $20 Signature Margaritas. Walk-ins welcome or book ahead.

Sunday Roast — $90pp
Sundays are made for roast lamb, and Nelly agrees. This English-inspired long lunch features a slow-roasted Lamb Shoulder with Yorkshire Puddings, Roast Potatoes, Buttered Greens and a Sticky Toffee Pudding to close things out. Best enjoyed slowly with good company. BYO available at $10pp corkage.
